You are an alien looking for the Grail in order to save your race from the total annihilation of the universe. You will fight other alien’s races and will try to find or keep the Grail until the game’s over. If you happen to be a fan of aliens, quests, and board games, Extraterrestrial Grail is a free and entertaining alternative for all the family.
Based on the popular Interstellar board game, this software game reproduces not only the board and the characters, but also the pace of the original turn-based game. This will give you ample time to revise the game’s log at the bottom-right corner of the screen, where each action taken by your adversaries is shown alongside yours. Both each player’s turn and the entire game itself are limited in time, which helps to apply some pressure to your decisions. The program’s interface is, basically, a digital reproduction of the original board layout. All sensitive elements in the game come with their own explanatory notes. All eight different aliens and planets, as well as the various attributes they can carry and use in their quest are profusely documented.
You may start the game with or without the Grail. You may have it with you right from the start, which means that you will need to hide it well in any of the eight planets available so that it’s still in your power when the game ends. That is the final objective of the game, as the alien’s race with the Grail will be spared from the total annihilation of the universe. You may need to fight other aliens in their quest for the Grail in order to defend your planet from being invaded and from losing the Grail – there is where the attributes and weapons you chose at the beginning of the game will come in handy. One way or another, make sure that you have the Grail with you whenever the time’s over.
The game is certainly an entertaining one that you can share with anyone over 12. If you are already a fan of Interstellar, you will find this PC-based version a great and truthful alternative to the real thing when on the go or whenever using the real board game is not an option.
